Farmfest - Jackson County Agriculture Council

It's time once again for Family Farmfest! A day down on the farm in Northeastern Jackson County will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2014, from 11:00am-5:00pm. Farmfest sites features this year include:


Gee Farms, 14928 Bunkerhill Rd., Stockbridge

  • 500 acre Sesquicentennial farm
  • Michigan's largest retail nursery
  • Bakery and ice cream parlor plus fairy scavenger hunt

Pregitzer Farm Market, 6870 Territorial Rd., Munith

  • Locally grown fruits and vegetables
  • Learn to plant in plastic
  • Straw crawl, corn maze and petting zoo

Weber Farms, 1421 E. Olds Rd., Leslie

  • 200 dairy cattle and 64 milking cows
  • New milk house in spring 2014
  • Milk and cheese samples

Young's Orchard, 2652 E. Territorial Rd., Rives Junction

  • 100 acres of 15 varieties of apples
  • Apples, cider, donuts and apple cider slushies for purchase
  • Activities for kids

Each site will have many educational and interesting features. See how Pregitzer Farm Market plants in plastic, explore their Straw Crawl and Corn Maze, and take a wagon ride.
